CASA of the 18th JDC celebrates its 2nd CASA-versary

Today is our 2nd CASA-versary!

Today marks two years since we opened our doors and began the great work of providing court-appointed volunteer advocacy for local children in foster care due to abuse or neglect.

We've accomplished a lot in our short time. As the final CASA program to open in Louisiana, we were able to have guidance from National CASA / GAL Association for Children; learn from Louisiana CASA and the other 17 CASA programs from across our state; secure state, federal and local grant, corporate and individual financial support; become the benefactor to the very successful Celebrity Waiter of the 18th JDC; are led by an incredible board of directors; and last but certainly not least - we have the absolute BEST CASA advocates who do the hard work each and every day.
